<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Following on from announcing the Game Gear Micro, Sega has announced yet another diminutive piece of retro hardware &#8211; The Sega Astro City Mini.</h3>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Based on the iconic Arcade City cabinet, the new Astro City Mini will include a joystick and six face buttons. Ideal to play a whole range of 90s arcade classics including Virtua Fighter and Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">For those looking for a more social experience, the mini-console also comes equipped with two USB ports for additional controllers a HDMI socket to connect up to your large screen TV.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="575" src="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-1024x575.jpg" alt="The back of the Astro City Mini includes 2x USB, 1x HDMI, 1x Audio and 1x microUSB (likely for power)" class="wp-image-1282" srcset="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-1024x575.jpg 1024w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-300x169.jpg 300w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-768x432.jpg 768w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-1536x863.jpg 1536w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-780x438.jpg 780w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03-600x337.jpg 600w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/astro-city-mini-03.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While playing Virtua Fighter on the small desktop arcade will undoubtedly be tons of fun, it&#8217;s the inclusion of the arcade sequel to Golden Axe that has got a lot of people excited.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The reason? Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder has never had a home release since it was first introduced to arcades back in 1992. Oddly enough though, this isn&#8217;t the only time in the near future we&#8217;ll see this title coming to the home. As Arcade1UP will be releasing their own &#8216;<a aria-label="undefined (opens in a new tab)" href="https://arcade1up.com/collections/cabinets/products/golden-axe-arcade-cabinet" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Golden Axe Arcade Cabinet</a>&#8216;.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="769" src="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-1024x769.png" alt="Golden Axe - The Revenge of Death Adder - allows 4 players to battle together." class="wp-image-1280" srcset="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-1024x769.png 1024w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-300x225.png 300w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-768x577.png 768w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-1536x1153.png 1536w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-666x500.png 666w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02-600x450.png 600w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/golden-axe-revenge-death-adder-arcade-ss02.png 1918w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Currently only 10 titles have been confirmed for the Astro City Mini, those titles include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Alien Syndrome</li><li>Alien Storm</li><li>Altered Beast</li><li>Columns II</li><li>Dark Edge</li><li>Golden Axe</li><li>Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder</li><li>Tant-R</li><li>Virtua Fighter</li><li>Fantasy Zone</li></ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">We&#8217;re looking forward to seeing what other titles will be included on this machine, and if the Sega Mega Drive Mini taught us anything, it&#8217;s to expect some unexpected titles.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Currently the Astro City Mini is due for release in Japan later this year for ¥12,800 &#8211; or around £95. A release date for countries outside of Japan has not been confirmed.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">So what titles would you like to see on the Astro City Mini? We&#8217;d love to hear below.</p>
