After the recent announcement of the Sega Mega Drive Mini 2. One question was on the minds of many western Sega fans. Would this diminutive console be heading outside of Japan?

Thankfully, Sega tweeted that the Genesis Mini 2 will be coming to North America. Complete with over 50 titles, including many classic Sega CD titles. This is fantastic news, although those in Europe are yet to receive news on a release date there.

The mini console will be an Amazon exclusive, retailing for $100 and includes two six-button controllers. Plus, it’s not only the name of the console that has changed. The Genesis Mini 2 will come with it’s own selection of titles, some that vary from those included with the Japanese Mega Drive Mini 2.
