<p>The <a href="https://retroages.com/collection-of-saga-final-fantasy-legend/">Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend</a> unveiled during today&#8217;s Nintendo Direct Mini. Giving us our first glimpse of this compilation of Game Boy titles. </p>

<p>As the (lengthy) name suggests, this collection contains the trio of Game Boy Final Fantasy Legends titles. These titles are making their way to the Nintendo Switch.</p>

<p>For those of you unaware, the series launched early on in the Game Boy&#8217;s life. The first title in the series released in December 1989. Originally titled Makai <em>Tōshi&nbsp;</em>SaGa, this title kickstarted the popular SaGa series. A series that is still going to this day.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">

</div></figure>

<p>Thankfully, Square Enix has included quality of life improvements. Now you can speed up gameplay and adjust the screen size. You can even play your Switch in a vertically, just like a Game Boy!</p>

<p>You&#8217;ll be able to start playing on the 15th of December 2020. If you&#8217;re excited to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the SaGa series, you can pre-purchase now through the <a href="https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-download-software/COLLECTION-of-SaGa-FINAL-FANTASY-LEGEND-1832845.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nintendo eShop</a>.</p>

<p>Pyra and Mythra, two of the central characters from the Switch role playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 2, are the latest addition to the <a href="https://retroages.com/super-smash-bros-ultimate/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Super Smash Bros Ultimate</a> lineup. </p>

<p>Announced at this evening’s Nintendo Direct. Pyra and Mythra will be coming to the popular Switch brawler as part of the title’s second Fighter Pass. These two fighters will mark the second and third playable fighters from the Xenoblade games, following on from series favourite Shulk.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="394" src="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/8210480D-45CC-49C8-BEDA-C7C06766D170.jpeg" alt="Pyra blazes into action" class="wp-image-1928" srcset="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/8210480D-45CC-49C8-BEDA-C7C06766D170.jpeg 700w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/8210480D-45CC-49C8-BEDA-C7C06766D170-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/8210480D-45CC-49C8-BEDA-C7C06766D170-600x338.jpeg 600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>

<p>Fans will likely be worried about the inclusion of yet another sword user joining Ultimate’s roster. However, Pyra/Mythra have a unique twist up their sleeves. The ability to tag in and out at will during a battle.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C-1024x576.jpeg" alt="Mythra awkens to fight" class="wp-image-1931" srcset="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C-780x439.jpeg 780w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C-600x337.jpeg 600w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E5065462-1948-4ABF-8E14-E5321D846C9C.jpeg 1241w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>Fighting as each character will influence your fighting style. Where as the hot-headed Pyra unleashes explosive and powerful attacks. The more calm and collected Mythra will grant the player increased agility. To take advantage of this due, players will need to learn when to switch.</p>

<p>Long-time fans of the Smash Bros series will recognise this set up as how Zelda and Shiek worked in earlier entries. </p>

<p>Other Xenoblade Chronicles 2 fan favourites will also make an appearance. Including title protagonist Rex, who will lend a hand to help either Pyra or Mythra pull off their devastating Smash moves.</p>

<p>There will of course be a new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 stage, that appears to have fighters battling it out amongst the clouds on the back of ‘gramps’. You’ll even get spurred on by some of your fellow party members cheering you on from the side-lines! </p>

<p>You’ll be able to join the fight as Pyra and Mythra when they’re available in March 2021.</p>
