If like me you’re a big fan of the blue blur with attitude then you may have noticed a very familiar tune playing during the 10 second teaser.

While the music has a certain level of grandiose about it, it’s still unmistakable. That’s right, it’s none other than the opening stage from the Mega Drive version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Emerald Hill Zone.

Unfortunately the teaser doesn’t have any footage to show beyond the movie’s title, mainly because filming has yet to start. However, it does give us a release date of 8th April 2022.

Hopefully we will be able to leave our homes and head to the cinemas by then.
