<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Could we see Scott Pilgrim&#8217;s return from the great white noise? If a tweet from series creator Bryan Lee O&#8217;Malley is anything to go by&#8230; maybe?</h2>

<p>The tweet was quite light on information. With it stating that Ubisoft, the developer and publisher of the Scott Pilgrim game, has reached out to him.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-width="550" data-dnt="true"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">PS. ubisoft has reached out to me</p>&mdash; Bryan Lee O&#39;Malley (@bryanleeomalley) <a href="https://twitter.com/bryanleeomalley/status/1294047341582757888?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 13, 2020</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
</div></figure>

<p>Bryan Lee O&#8217;Malley, and even the movie&#8217;s director Edgar Wright, have both expressed their desire to see the game return to consoles. </p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1000" height="562" src="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/FBD0DDAE-9EA3-4DE6-A48C-BF727D72382A.jpeg" alt="Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game - Screenshot" class="wp-image-1563" srcset="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/FBD0DDAE-9EA3-4DE6-A48C-BF727D72382A.jpeg 1000w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/FBD0DDAE-9EA3-4DE6-A48C-BF727D72382A-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/FBD0DDAE-9EA3-4DE6-A48C-BF727D72382A-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/FBD0DDAE-9EA3-4DE6-A48C-BF727D72382A-780x438.jpeg 780w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/FBD0DDAE-9EA3-4DE6-A48C-BF727D72382A-600x337.jpeg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption>We really do love Scott Pilgrim vs The World.</figcaption></figure>

<p>For those who are unaware, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game was a tie in downloadable title released to coincide with Scott Pilgrim vs The World movie. Both of which are based on O&#8217;Malley&#8217;s <a href="https://amzn.to/3aup8Zv" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Scott Pilgrim graphic novels</a>.</p>

<p>It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been a decade to the day since the release of Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Originally released on 10th October 2010 for the PlayStation 3 and 25th October 2010 for the Xbox 360.</p>

<p>Unfortunately, the title was taken down in 2014. This was down to Ubisoft&#8217;s licence to the Scott Pilgrim series expiring. This meant that gamers who missed out on purchasing the game were out of luck.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="562" src="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/61DED4F3-6405-48AE-83F1-74CD066EDEEF.jpeg" alt="Could we see Scott Pilgrim's Return?" class="wp-image-1569" srcset="https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/61DED4F3-6405-48AE-83F1-74CD066EDEEF.jpeg 1000w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/61DED4F3-6405-48AE-83F1-74CD066EDEEF-300x169.jpeg 300w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/61DED4F3-6405-48AE-83F1-74CD066EDEEF-768x432.jpeg 768w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/61DED4F3-6405-48AE-83F1-74CD066EDEEF-780x438.jpeg 780w, https://retroages.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/61DED4F3-6405-48AE-83F1-74CD066EDEEF-600x337.jpeg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p>Could Ubisoft be looking to bring this fan favourite classic back for the game&#8217;s 10th anniversary? Unlikely due to them only just reaching out to O&#8217;Malley this week. </p>

<p>However, a re-release on current generation consoles would certainly be a popular move by the publisher. With the title likely sell well. Especially after the success of similar titles such as River City Girls and <a href="https://retroages.com/streets-of-rage-4/">Streets of Rage 4</a>.</p>

<p>Only time will tell, but personally I am excited at the prospect of playing more Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Especially if a re-release included the game&#8217;s DLC, and some new bonus characters and stages.</p>

<p>Now if you&#8217;ll excuse me, I&#8217;m off to dig out my Xbox 360 and go kick some evil exes&#8217; butt while I await Scott Pilgrim&#8217;s return.</p>
