After ten thousand years, the once banished Dark Ninja returns to make another attempt to take over the Miracle World. Someone’s definitely got to stop him! Guess who dares to meet the challenge? You! You’re Alex Kidd, the prince who knows no fear.

A lovely girl has been kidnapped and her life is at risk! And she’s your girlfriend from the planet Shinobi! By holding her hostage, the Dark Ninja plans to realize his fiendish scheme. She must be saved before it’s too late!

You need more than courage to be successful. Transform into a fireball and burn up enemies that come at you. Jump up and across towering walls with your amazing wall-climbing skills. Turn into a tornado and twist your way out. And when you encounter the Dark Ninja, think only of winning. Otherwise you’ll lose your girl and, worse yet, the Miracle World will be doomed forever!

Alex Kidd Returns in Beautiful Pixel Art Remake

The beloved Master System platformer is getting a Sonic Mania style remake with Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX.

Alex Kidd returns for his first game after a long 30 year hiatus, with his pixel style adventure recreating his iconic adventure in Miracle World.

Following in the footsteps as other recent Sega remakes and sequels such as Sonic Mania, Streets of Rage 4 and Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, Sega is handing the reigns to indie developers Merge Games and Jankenteam.

Expanding on the original title, Miracle World DX is set to included new artwork and remastered music, new modes, alternative boss battles and new stages.

However, for players that prefer the Master System original, there is also a ‘classic mode’ that removes the new additions and allows you to play through a recreation of the 8-bit title.

Alex Kidd returns in 2021 and will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Defenders of Oasis Comes to Nintendo 3DS

Fans of Game Gear exclusive role-playing games rejoice. Defenders of Oasis is coming to Nintendo 3DS. Now you can once again take the Arabian Nights inspired adventure on the road.

While it has it’s fans. There are many of you who likely have never heard of the Defenders of Oasis. In this adventure, you take control of a heroic prince as he sets out to prevent the revival of the dark god Ahriman.

Originally released in 1992. Defenders of Oasis was positively reviewed, thanks to an interesting storyline and impressive graphics. It also helped that it was one of the few Game Gear role-playing titles to come to the west.

With the upcoming release on a more modern console. Many more gamers will finally have a chance to experience this pocket-sized adventure. Best of all, it will be without the need to carry around dozens of AA batteries!

I will certainly be looking forward to revisiting the Kingdom of Shadam, and taking on the great looking and playing 8-bit adventure.

Defenders of Oasis is coming to the Nintendo 3DS and is due for release on 26th June 2013. Available on the Nintendo eShop for £3.59/US$3.99.
