I was always free shot I think

Yeah you went free shot, I always preferred fixed shot for the 8-way firing.

Also I spent most stages just drop kicking and hurling the enemies anyway.

Probably my favourite megadrive game! Also had the best music on the megadrive too (yes Barry, I mean that!)

The game was indeed Defender(s) of Oasis. Philip was close, but not quite with Oasis Defenders 😭

This week’s game is a RPG set around the Arabian Nights tales.

Final Fight is also a staple of the series, and is what inspired Sega to create the Streets of Rage series. It can be found in the Capcom beat’em up bundle with a few other similar games, including Captain Commando and Armored Warriors (both also great side scrolling beat’em ups).

Ronald McDonald alien slayer? I have no idea…

That would be a game I’d play! I can certainly see where you’re coming from with that title.

A good title is River City Girls. It’s a lot of fun and more open-world than Streets of Rage.
